A little more on the 2008 Honda Odyssey

My previous article talks about the 2008 Honda Odyssey. Thought I share with you why I adore this automobile so much.

Best Cars for Mums

Beyond the gut instinct, lets try to understand why.

Compared to cars, Minivans, SUVs and some station wagons are:

  • Safer due to their size. Generally larger vehicles are safer due to their better resistance to impacts.
  • Mum friendly vehicles have a larger volume capacity to carry little one’s extra seats and accessories
  • This car/vehicle category has more convenient doors. Some minivans open sideways on both side.
  • There is more capacity and room to add a TV or DVD player for the back seat passengers to enjoy
  • These vehicles have larger gas capacity so you don’t have to frequent the gas station as often out of your busy schedule.

So which mum vehicle is the best in this class based on my road tests?

The Honda Odyssey Minivan of course. Its safety, design and reliability is bar none. So if you are a mom looking for the best car for your lifestyle. The Honda Odyssey will deliver! Interested? Check this ride out at your nearest Honda dealer.

Odessy Odesy Odesey oodsy,

Stop! Don’t change that car oil just yet!

Did you know that for many cars now a days, you dont need to change your car oil that often? 3000 miles you say? Think again!

Car dealers sometimes just advise you to change oil often because its good for their business. Since oil change costs about $25 at least, there is much to save if you know what you are doing. With today’s better design cars oil change with regular oils can range between 5000 to 10,000 miles. Check your car manual for guidance. The synthetic oils that are trouted in the market place today are the real thing! You can stretch oil changes to once a year if you drive properly.  Here is a really nice quote from an article i just read

“Davis says that educated drivers should opt for longer lasting, better performing synthetic oils, which are “most likely good for 10,000 to 15,000 miles or six months” whether or not their manufacturers recommend more frequent changes or not. Some synthetic motor oils, like Amsoil, NEO and Red Line, to name a few, are created specifically to last 25,000 miles or one year before needing a change.”
