eBay Motors vs CarsDirect vs Autobytel vs MissCarDealer.com

Helping you find your perfect car for the right price is a competitive space. We, the online car dealer liaisons do our very best to get you a great deal. While my competition offers vast knowledge base of different cars to engage you, and extensive dealership reach to almost all the dealers in USA, MissCarDealer works hard to give you a unique insider knowledge of the car dealership industry, how the dealer thinks and also puts you in touch with the exclusive dealers with internet departments who are ready to make a lowest price deal. We are a boutique website with very compelling pitch to our customers. All we ask is you give us a chance to serve you and show you why we are better than our bigger competitors. Check out an interesting article comparing online car dealer sites here.

One car dealer says “Don’t have to pay monthly payment this month”

In a world of “gimme more gimme more” good to see a car dealer getting creative to let some of its customers skip on monthly payments. Of course they are trying running a business, and the least they ask you to do is refer them to your friends and family. Kuddos to you Nemet Auto Group for such a creative idea. Tell me, you think I can get a car if i send you one customer a month? :)

200 MPG car by VW? - Yes its true…

Amazing what the car dealer and manufacturing industry can do when pressed for by the public or government.  I wonder why they did not think of this earlier?

While impressive, that is not all in the world of better milage. Another car in the making is the 300 MPG Aptera. Both cars are slated to hit the market in 2010.

They claim to be as safe as regular cars, if not safer. (see video below)

New 2008 Honda Accord Review

Got to hand it to some car dealers, they are getting creative in reaching the masses. I found the below 2008 Honda Accord review really helpful, and hope you find it informative too. By the way, I really like the way Honda is shaping its new cars, it definately is raising the bar for “look” in its price range. Add to that Honda’s reliability… I think its a one two and three punch for 2008 Honda Accord buyers.

Nice article about saving more money at car dealers

While most ideas here have been explored on my site, i found a few nuggets in here that will give you a few more hundred in savings. The article below covers the following eight money saving tips at car dealers.

1. Decide what type of vehicle fits your needs, lifestyle and budget.
2. Don’t rationalize an expense that is far beyond your budget.
3. Shop around on the Web. (Definately check out MissCarDealer network prices vs others)
4. Buy at the right time.
5. Try to avoid a down payment for a lease unless it lowers your monthly payments.
6. If you’re offered either cash back or a lower interest rate, choose the latter.
7. Be aggressive.
8. Don’t get snookered into snazzy, but superfluous, extras.

What do car dealers do in a tough economy? Woo car buyers with better deals of course!

In today’s tough economy car buyers have become more prudent. Car dealers have catered by being more open about how their competition compares.
As today’s buyers do a lot more home work before talking to a dealer, car dealers give them less run around to close a sale.
As car buyers have become more sophisticated in their lifestyles, new car dealers now offer gourmet coffee instead of the usual house brand.
Even car dealers are opting to hire non typical car salesy people as internet buying has lowered the need for song and dance sales people. Read the excellent article here:

Mercury Car Dealers May Be Closing Shop!

“It’s hard to sell a Mercury when it looks just like a Ford that’s priced at $4,000 less,” said Tom Libby, an auto industry analyst at J.D. Power & Associates.
(I got this quote from an article in LA Times:
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-garage10-2008may10,0,5324378.story )

I think the quote speaks volumes on why this may be happening. Another indicator for me is that the new generation thinks nothing of this brand when it comes to buying new cars. Nothing “cool” about their new productions. Talk about survival of the fittest. I guess in a car dealer jungle out there, with today’s scarcity of customers, there is bound to be some automobile brand casualties.
